Humane deterrence
Discourage landing and roosting with a product suited to the site. Follow the fitting and placement instructions, and check the installation regularly.
Bird spikes, gels and deterrents for roofs, ledges, fences and solar panels. Find the right fit for your property and give unwanted birds a reason to move on.
Whether it is pigeons on a parapet, squirrels on a fence line or raccoons on a flat roof, the fix depends on the surface and the animal. This is the whole range and how to pick from it.
Discourage landing and roosting with a product suited to the site. Follow the fitting and placement instructions, and check the installation regularly.
Keep roof edges, signs, ledges and solar panel gaps less inviting to unwanted birds. Choose spikes for landing surfaces or mesh for the areas you need to close off.
Spike strips can be fixed with suitable adhesive, screws or cable ties. Check the surface, measure the run and read the product instructions before you start.
Choose stainless steel wire on a clear base for a discreet ledge installation, or molded plastic strips for fence tops and other suitable surfaces.
Spikes, netting, gel and visual deterrents suit different places. Tell us which birds visit and where they land, and we can help you choose.
Free delivery on orders of $75 or more. Below that, delivery is $22.00. Property and trade packs make it easy to order for a longer run.
Fifi · Chief Bird Watch Officer
Every bird control company needs someone watching the skies. We gave the job to Fifi, our French Bulldog. She takes it seriously for around four minutes a day. The other 16 hours she spends asleep at her post, which she insists is a stealth tactic.
Here is her record so far: birds spotted, thousands. Birds caught, zero. Which is exactly how we like it. Around here even the security team is strictly no-harm. The spikes do the work, and Fifi takes the credit between naps.
She wears a lot of hats. Well, she would, if hats did not interrupt her sleep schedule.

Fifi is our family mascot, and her sunny napping ledge is her favorite place to watch the world. For the actual product choices, our team can help you match the deterrent to your birds, surfaces and measurements.
We sell bird and pest deterrents and nothing else, so this is the short version of what we have learned: which product suits which surface, what to measure before you order, and what a deterrent can and cannot do.
Most of what people get wrong is not the product, it is the surface. A spike strip needs something flat and solid to sit on: a parapet, a ledge, a beam, a fence rail, a gutter lip. If the bird is landing on a pitched tile roof or a thin wire, a strip has nothing to grip and nothing to protect.
For a flat run, spikes are the cheapest fix per foot and the one that lasts longest. For an opening you want to close entirely, netting is the answer. For a decorative ledge you do not want to touch, the gel goes on with a caulking gun and is invisible from below. For an open area with no edge to work with, the reflective discs and the scare tape are the only options that do anything at all.
Both spike ranges do the same job and the difference is where they belong. The stainless range is 1.3 mm wire on a clear polycarbonate base, 5 mm high, and from the ground it is close to invisible. That is the one for a shopfront, a heritage parapet or anything a customer looks at.
The moulded plastic range is a single injection-moulded strip. It costs a dollar less, it trims with a pair of snips, and it is unaffected by extreme temperatures. That is the one for a fence line, a shed roof or a boundary wall, where nobody is judging the look of it.
Every spike strip is 20 inches long and there is no minimum, so the only measurement you need is the run in inches divided by 20, rounded up. A 30 foot parapet is 360 inches, which is 18 strips. A typical window sill is one strip. A garden fence panel is three or four.
Two things people forget. Corners need their own strip, because you cannot bend a base around a right angle. And birds will use the two inches you left uncovered, so run the strips end to end rather than spacing them out.
A physical deterrent works because it removes the landing. Spikes, netting and gel do that, and once they are on they keep doing it with no power and no maintenance. That is why they are what we sell most of.
The sound and visual products work differently: they make a space feel unsafe, and birds get used to anything that never actually harms them. Both of the solar units here cycle through frequencies and sounds for exactly that reason, and both listings say plainly that they work best as part of a wider plan rather than on their own. If somebody promises you that a single box will clear a site permanently, they are selling you something we would not.
A spike strip goes on with UV-stabilised silicone adhesive, screws or cable ties, and the choice matters more than it sounds: the listings say the fixing method is what determines how long the strip stays put. Get the surface clean and dry first. The pins arrive unassembled and press into the base by hand, which takes a few minutes per strip.
If a number on a listing is missing or does not look right, email us at theteam@birdspikes.store before you order and we will confirm it.
